Mommy Club

As you can imagine, living within 2 miles of MIT and Harvard, we have some pretty intimidating people in our ward. Half of what is said in Sunday School is way too intellectual for me. My favorite part about this ward is that there's a "New Moms" group that gets together every Thursday for a potluck lunch! Its my favorite thing ever!! A social venue, an opportunity to get out, an excuse to try some new recipes, show off our babies, and a great place to ask about good pediatricians in the area, best places for groceries, and hey, how long does winter last around here? (The view this morning after another dump last night)

Because of another snow emergency--the 3rd one since we've moved in, Mommy Club was cancelled this morning, and I find myself stuck with a pan of these delicious Sweet Potato Balls and a napping baby, so why not blog about them!

Sweet potato stuff:
4 large sweet potatos, baked and peeled
2 T butter
1/2 t. salt
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 T. orange juice
1 t. nutmeg
Mash it all together, then coat large marshmallows with the 'stuff' and roll into a bowl of coconut, cinnamon and sugar, and bake at 375 for 15 minutes. Guess I'll have to eat these all myself!

Looks yummy! Have fun with your new club. I noticed out there that the east coast women are really good about networking and crafting. Especially in the church. You'll fit right in! :)
