Buy Me Something!

Jason stitched Janae's name into a jacket (all by himself ;), and she made Jason an apron for doing the dishes! Hurray! I made Spencer a "Super Spencer" cape, and he made me some wooden picture frame stands (all by himself ;)

Christmas Eve

We were going to make a stocking that said "In-Law", but thought it kinder to just cover up Braden's stocking with Jason's name. Don't tell Braden.

The kiddies figuring out the clues that lead them to their....

Christmas Eve pajamas!

Yes, a Christmas Blog

Spencer, you're a monster.

Derek got to baptize Carson, his friend from school! It was wonderful!

Cookie Hater

Its true, I'm not a huge fan of cookies. Or cake for that matter. Hard crumbly cookies and dry cake slathered in buttercream, yuck. However, I could eat sweet breads and ice cream all day long. Anyways, Mom Millar gave us some yummy gourmet baking ingredients (including the mint chocolate chips and the gourmet dark cocao) for Christmas, so I had to try some out. The result: pretty tasty cookies. I'm pretty ok with these! Some Variation of an Andes Mint Cookie

1 cup butter, softened 1 cup brown sugar 3/4 cup white sugar 2 eggs 3 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 Tablespoons dark cocoa 3 cups mint chocolate chips Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream the butter and the sugars, then beat in the eggs. Add the flour, baking soda and salt, and mix in the chocolate chips using a wooden spoon. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes--no more! Even if they look doughy! Cool for 5 min. on the pan.

THANKS MOM! Get excited Kati--we're bringing you a few as a thank-you for taking us to the airport on Tuesday!

Disco Inferno!

Time to get your tickets now for a night of super 70's disco! This'll really be a fun show. I can't believe how quickly we had to put it together, what with so many of the cast members missing rehearsal for the holidays (myself included), but it'll all come together, right?! Super fun dance numbers, and an awesome cast--you'll find my character Maggie wearing orange in every scene!
January 8-16 M,Th,F,S at 7:30pm.
I have plenty of $3 off coupons, or you can print your own at http://www.scera.org/app/webroot/uploads/file/coupon(1).pdf
Also, on Starving Student cards, there is a buy-one-get-one for all musicals at the Scera.
Don't forget the nightly 70's costume contest! See you there!

I Heart NW

Well, my girls were voted off by the judges, but of course, I thought they were incredible. It was cool to see all the hype about acappella, and to see Noteworthy get their name out. I think they represented BYU, the Church, and female acappella well, and I'm glad they got this opportunity! Yay! Think

Last night's song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgJpmv-VP-8
Its funny, my last year in the group, we had barely learned this song (Think), like the day before we performed it our last show of the year. And then they made it fabulous! Listen tonight for 2 more songs!

Wall Street Survivor

Hi its Jason! My Investments class participated in a Wall Street Survivor (www.wallstreetsurvivor.com) competition this semester, where everyone started with $100,000 to play with and invest in stocks of our choice. It showed real time prices of the actual stocks, so our amount of money fluctuated as if it were real invested money. ....and I took first place in my section and 2nd in the entire class! Now I get to take Camille out with my prize gift card. However, I don't think she's completely comfortable yet with the idea of me really investing $100,000.

Nov. 21st is a Great Day to Get Married!

Happy First Year Anniversary to us! Its been a wonderful wonderful first year and we can't wait for a few more together! We decided that the first year of marriage was not at all as hard as everyone says it to be. We've learned a lot, and grown a lot, and love where we're at! To commemorate, we drove to St. George for MJ & Jordan's wedding! (MJ and I met doing shows together, and then were roommates for the year before I got married. Our birthdays are a day apart, both engaged within the same week, and now married on the same day) It was beautiful, of course. It was so neat to be in the sealing room with them on our actual anniversary, and almost exactly the same time we were married! We also were able to do a sealing for some family names afterwards--also really great. Then we stayed at the Anniversary Inn, which was so fun! Each room is themed super fun, and we got a great deal back in August. And as if the decor wasn't fun enough (notice the showerhead that comes out of the elephant's trunk, the waterfall in the middle of the room, and the lifesize alligator) the sparkling cider and cheesecake in the fridge made it a good investment!

Princess Jamie

Jamie commissioned me to make her Prom dress, and we designed it after the "Glinda" dress on Wicked. I'm sending it out this weekend, but now it has to sit in her closet until May.
I hope it makes the journey to Iowa safely!!!

Who Dunnit?

We got to experience the "Murder Mystery Dinner" up at Spring Haven lodge last night, where Travis played "Tom", the footman and brother to Rob, who mysteriously inherited millions of dollars and also mysteriously was murdered with rat poison in front of our eyes!
Sadly, Travis wasn't the murderer :( But good work, little brother!

Typical Tuesday

Since 5-Buck-Pizza started selling their pizzas on Tuesdays and Thursdays for $2.99, we've had a somewhat traditional Tuesday night dinner :) I promise I cook wholesome meals all the other nights of the week!

Ode to Chappy

Dear Chappy:
Thank you again for the banana split bowls! We love them and use them all the time! On Saturday, we had Adam & Kristen Buchanan over for a movie and we made the most delicious desserts.
The End.

The Berry Sisters

Another sewing job! I made some bridesmaid dresses for a wedding today and took Jason with me to the reception so I could take some pictures. Cute girls!

The Break-In

Just now I was returning some books to the library--36 in fact. (We read "Choose Your Own Adventure" books for the last 15 min. of class last week when we were talking about how your friends influence your future.) So I walked out and sat right down in someone else's car, thinking how odd that I left my car door unlocked. I didn't even realize it till I saw all the nasty candy wrappers everywhere, and thought, "Eeew gross, someone broke into my car and ate all this candy!"
Schroeder's license plate distorted for his protection :)

Captain Hook

My friend Bill hired me to make him a Capt. Hook outfit for Halloween! It was sure fun to put together, and gave me confidence that I can still finish something this extensive in 2 weeks on top of working two jobs.
