Today we went on a Swan Boat ride in the Public Garden! I've been wanting to do this since we moved here. It was the most perfect day for it.These swan boats have been around for over 130 years and have carried famous people like Lucille Ball, Carol Channing, Will Rogers, Shirley Temple, Barbara Walters, Calvin Coolidge, and John F. Kennedy! Jason didn't want to be in the picture because he had way too much fun at a work outing yesterday and got an impressive sunburn all over :)
The boats and duck island are in the famous book Make Way for Ducklings and duck statues have been made in Boston Commons. People like to dress them up in scarves or Bruins jerseys.
After that, we checked out Chinatown. I was bummed to find only two wimpy fabric shops, when I was hoping there would be some sort of fabric district downtown. Wishful thinking. We ate a cute pizza shop, then tried out "Modern Pastry", which was fine, but we agreed doesn't compare to Mike's.

Cool boats! I love that you are making the absolute most of Boston! So when can we visit again? Are you there for the long haul?
Come visit absolutely anytime! We'll be around atleast another 2-3 years! Does that qualify as a 'long haul'? Compared to how often we both moved apartments in Provo? :)
Make Way for Ducklings was a favorite book at our house when the kids were growing up. That's cool that you got to go to the real location!
