Lincoln-Lark

Because Jason and I are singers, naturally, we want our kids to sing!  Lincoln was really anti-song for quite awhile, and it was breaking my heart, but he has finally found his singing voice :) and I don't think it is all that bad!  Sure, I can't exactly tell if he's tone-deaf or not, but I sure love hearing his cute little voice!

My latest favorite thing is Lincoln's booming command, "Mom, SING!!"

"The Big Big Cabin"

Family Reunion Millar!
We spent a week in woodland wonderland in the magical Lee family cabin and brand-new bunk house addition!
Lots of games, lots of visiting... and LOTS of delicious food!

The Millars are all connoisseurs of fine food and cooking, and honestly every meal was a work of art.  Uncle Ryan treated us to a gourmet meal of the most delicious sushi.

Grandma with the granddaughters:
And then there's the grandsons :)  The last five boys were born right in a row, and will be life-long buddies!
 What a great reunion!

Pacifically South

This little show was SO MUCH FUN!  We didn't have huge crowds, but we sure had fun Southin' it up every night.  It was great to brush up on rusty skills, and perhaps more than anything, this really built my confidence in my ability to walk in to something without knowing a soul and make some new and dear friends!!  Sometimes as a stay-at-home mom, I feel like I'm losing my social skills!

My little "Honey Bun"!

A cute little boy in the cast made us Lego people :)

One of my favorite things about community theater is being able to sew my own costumes!  Too bad I have absolutely no where to where this romper and no other family Halloween costumes come to mind to go with my sailor suit.  Etsy here we come.

 My new cute friends:

 Till next time!

A Canon Family

Soon after the Hancock reunion, we caught flights out to the Millar reunion!  It was held at the family cabins on Bill's Island in Island Park, ID.  Beautiful!

Now one thing you might not know about the Millars is that they are all professional photographers and take their photography and equipment seriously!  The five siblings:

We even had a photography workshop together and went out on a field trip to practice new things, aka "Let's teach Jason and Camille how to use their camera".

Ametuers.  Haha, we're looking at our cheat sheet as if it was written in Portuguese!  But look what our baby camera can do!

I can proudly say that I haven't shot on Auto since!  The brave world of Manual is not as intimidating as before and I'm enjoying trying new things.

Obviously, neither of us took this shot either, but the rest are some favorites from our field trip, taken by either me or Jason.

Around the Clock

There's always a project, isn't there?  I've been trying to come up with a solution for all the paper items that float around the counters and clutter the fridge.  I've always loved clothespins (is that weird?), and I thought a clothespin wreath would be fun, but one that stays up in the kitchen year-round, though I am DEFINITELY making another one of these Christmas-style to hold Christmas cards!  There's really no good place to put those all holiday season.

I really love these clamps!  Jason says these were the kind his Dad would use for jobs and projects, and I can see why.  They rock.

I really wanted to add the phrase, "The best thing to spend on your children is time", and I even painted it on and then painted over it three different times and places, but it never looked right to me.

Yay!  There's still clutter on the fridge, but less of it.  Can't wait to fill this with more baby announcements, coupons, gift cards, and hopefully no parking tickets!

What a Great Week

Birthday weekend!  J's birthday was spread among several days and celebrated with a Chocolate Mousse cheesecake this year.  He spent the real day in Connecticut at a client meeting.
I surprised Jason with a new wedding ring outside Giocomo's!  (The original was swept away in the rapids of Ohiopyle).  We love it!!  Thanks to my giveaway gig, this $99 ring was sent to us free as a review item!  Oh, the money we have saved...

A great birthday was followed by some super great news: CFA III PASS!  So long, CFA-ness and the hours and hours you've stolen my husband away from our family every Spring for the last four years!  Next stop, GMAT!
